Literary art poster "Marcel Proust, a dizzying quest"
The literary art poster “Marcel Proust, a dizzying quest” mirrors the two ends of Remembrance of Things Past (as it is usually translated into English by the publishers): the first and last pages linked by seven small grains of sand that descend the conduit of an imaginary hourglass.
This symmetry brings out many astonishing correspondences... Didn't Marcel Proust say that he wrote the beginning and the end of his work at the same time?
In a 40x51cm format, on Vélin d'Arches 160g paper, we used black printing and creative placement of the text, hot foil stamping for the hourglass, a frieze embossed with words taken from the quotation evoking the notion of time: through the choices of quality and original graphic layouts of the elements that make up the poster, we have aimed to convey the quintessence of the Proustian search...
As an association under the French law of 1901, La Chandelle Verte is not subject to French VAT. Prices are therefore exclusive of tax.
